Lucy studied at Loughborough University and graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Sports Science. Before university Lucy was captain of the junior British Shotokan Karate team, and continued to represent her country as well as teaching at the University club, achieving a bronze medal in the 1993 World Championships. After graduating Lucy worked as a marketing executive for Wembley Stadium Limited and gained her professional qualifications with the Chartered Institute for Marketing in 1999. In 2001 Lucy pioneered mountain biking tourism in Verbier when she set up her company Bike Verbier, a mountain bike specific guesthouse. She also gained her Swiss Hoteliers Patente in 2007 as well as winning the IXS Downhill race in Verbier. After 18 years of guiding children and adults around the mountains she joined VIS in 2020 as a special needs assistant. Lucy is fascinated by the brain and neurodiversity and in the past 5 years has been the primary carer for an autistic friend who suffered a TBI. She has completed her diploma in Autism care and various courses on speech and communication and Special Needs Education.

Lucy loves to mountain bike, ski, dance, read, play scrabble and spend time in nature in the mountains and her garden.
