VIS primary students develop a love of learning through a strong foundational core programme. Children learn through experiential and playful classes with caring and dedicated teachers. There is a strong emphasis on the concept of inclusion and family.

Children study a broad, balanced and creative programme following the International Curriculum.

The young students benefit from a healthy and active lifestyle with a wide choice of sports and excursions. We value and encourage curiosity and seek to develop a risk-taking learning culture.

The children are involved in events in the local community and further afield and we celebrate success, progress, and attainment every day in all areas of school life. Above all, we foster a safe, happy environment, where everyone is valued and respected.

In the Foundation Stage we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage of the English National Curriculum, while from Class B onwards we follow Key Stages 1 and 2 – an engaging, challenging and thought-inspiring curriculum, allowing scope for children to achieve their full potential.

I am immensely proud to work as the Head of Primary at Verbier International School and feel privileged to have the opportunity to work alongside our fantastic team of dedicated staff and with our wonderful children and their families everyday. Here at the Primary School we nurture our pupil’s success, balancing the challenge of our academic curriculum with the encouragement to solve problems independently, communicate effectively and foster creativity, cooperation and care.
