At VIS we value creativity. We wish to nurture and develop problem solving skills and encourage different means of expression and communication. We connect students to different concepts of art and artistic traditions.
Visual Arts
The passionate art team delivers the subject within lessons and during After School Activities (ASA). We are closely connected to local artists and institutions such as the Verbier 3-D Sculpture Park Residency.
Performing Arts
Drama, theatre and performance are incorporated into our curriculum and also within the ASA programme. All students are encouraged to perform in a variety of different productions during the school year and we actively highlight the different year groups. Pupils learn collaborative skills, communication and self awareness. Students (and staff) are encouraged to explore their creativity in different ways. Highlights of the year include the Christmas and the End of Year Productions.
Children are encouraged to learn a musical instrument and the school has close links with the Verbier Music Academy.
The Primary School has their own piano teacher and lessons are taught within the school day.
