Verbier International School is one of Switzerland’s most exciting boarding and day schools.

Ready to apply?

Enquire

Your enquiry is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. Upon submission, you will be contacted by a member of our team to begin a conversation regarding your family’s needs and goals.

We can provide you with any materials that you may need, make contact with key members of staff to answer specific questions, and if you would like, begin the process to arrange an initial enquiry visit.

Visit

We would be delighted to welcome you on a visit to the school. Alternatively, we can also arrange an online meeting for you.

If the dates and times available do not suit your schedule, please contact us at admissions@lvis.ch and we will be happy to arrange a better time.

Apply

Following a visit to the school (or virtual meeting), you will be invited to submit a formal application via our Admissions Portal if you have now decided that VIS is the right fit for your child.

The following documents are required as part of the application:

  • Copy of passport or ID
  • Copy of Swiss Residence Permit (for non-Swiss Nationals)
  • Accident and Health insurance certificate (or AVS Card if Swiss resident)
  • School reports from the last calendar year
  • A VIS Recommendation Form completed by the student’s current school
  • Payment of the Registration Fee

Once the application has been completed and documentation verified, students and families will be invited to meet the Headteacher in person or virtually as a last step in the application process.

4.

Placement tests

Placement tests may be required for students entering the Secondary School.

There may be an interview with the Headmaster and / or Senior Staff.

Applications must be complete before we can give final acceptance. When documents are missing, you must inform us when they will become available.

Our administrative staff are available to help you with the application and with the visa process, if required.

5.

Acceptance

The admissions committee reviews all applications once they are completed and a decision is made. When your child is offered a place at the Verbier International School, you will receive:

  • An Acceptance letter
  • Financial Terms & Conditions
  • A Parent Contract
  • An invoice for the enrolment fee

Are there any admissions deadlines we should be aware of?

Verbier International School welcomes students throughout the year. There are no fixed deadlines to apply but the sooner we can know the better. Priority is given to families who can stay for more than a term and to returning families in the Winter term.

What are the steps to admission?

What are the class sizes and curriculum?

The class sizes are small. This ranges from 5 -15 normally. We follow the English National Curriculum in our Primary School and in the Secondary School we follow Cambridge Lower Secondary from Years 7-9, the Cambridge IGCSEs during Years 10-11 and the IB Diploma programme during Years 12 and 13.
