Founded in 2011 by several local families, VIS has grown into a thriving international day and boarding school, welcoming students from around the world. Our approach combines academic ambition with a strong emphasis on wellbeing, character development and the opportunities offered by our unique alpine setting.
In 2025, Verbier International School entered an exciting new chapter by joining Dukes Education, a leading international family of schools and educational institutions. With shared ownership between Dukes Education and a Swiss family, VIS combines the strength of an international educational network with a strong local connection, remaining firmly rooted in its Swiss alpine identity.
The same year, the school opened its new home, Les Trois Cimes, a purpose-designed campus in the centre of Verbier. Located adjacent to the Verbier Sports Centre, the campus offers modern learning environments and outstanding facilities that support academic achievement, creativity, sport and student wellbeing.
Today, VIS welcomes students aged 3 to 18 from more than 55 nationalities, creating a vibrant and diverse international community. As a school, we combine the opportunities and ambitions of an international education with the personal attention, strong relationships and sense of belonging that come from being part of a close-knit community.
