VIS now includes Preschool in its educational provision. The ground floor of Chalet Mascotte has been transformed into a welcoming, stimulating and caring environment for our youngest children. The Preschool offers a bilingual (French/English) programme with the emphasis on learning through play and outdoor activities. The children go on small, local expeditions together.
At Preschool children receive an enriched and stimulating curriculum from 2 years old which includes Music, P.E. and Forest School. Children are encouraged to learn at VIS with our Learning Through Play curriculum which fosters curiosity and exploration of the world around them. We also have an extra special activity for each day of the week. On ‘Messy Mondays’ the children will focus on learning through sensory play. On ‘Tasty Tuesdays’ the class will cook or bake together. On ‘Wellie Wednesdays’ there will be outdoor learning fun whatever the weather! On ‘Topic Thursdays’ the children will venture out in the Forest School focussing on specific topics and finally on ‘Fun Fridays’ to end the week with fun and independent learning.
