Esmond Tweedie BA (Hons), BSc (Hons), MEd, PGCE
Headmaster and Secondary School Economics Teacher
Esmond grew up with an international childhood but was schooled at Eton College and graduated from Durham University with a BA (Hons) in Anthropology. After five years in the financial services industry in London he joined Oundle School as a teacher and deputy houseparent He achieved a First Class BSc (Hons) in Economics, and moved to Aiglon College as Head of Economics and Business. Whilst working at Aiglon he obtained a Masters in Education and was IB DP Coordinator for eight years. During this period Aiglon’s IB score improved from 32 to 38. He was also Head of Sixth Form and Senior Tutor, responsible for the tutorial system, student behaviour and the welfare of the IB students. Esmond joined VIS in August 2021.
Esmond is a BASI 2 qualified ski instructor, and FA qualified football coach. He enjoys mountain life and sports, especially ski touring, telemark skiing, mountain biking, and hiking with his family.
