Academic ethos

VIS partners innovation with evidence-driven teaching techniques to maximise the impact on the learning of individual students. We are rooted in the concept of holistic yet individualised learning. The classroom is only one space for learning, just as mountains, forests and sports fields are.

Accredited by the Cambridge International Examination board, VIS is committed to providing exceptional learning opportunities up to GCSE at age 16.

Success in public examinations is a significant but not overwhelming focus of our academic curriculum which extends from bilingual opportunities for our youngest students, Forest School experiences and a commitment to a stimulating After School Activity programme.

Teachers and students are encouraged to take risks in the classroom and to be as creative as possible in pedagogy and learning.
