Jessie Dardennes BA (Hons) in Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status

Primary French Teacher

Jessie was born in Lorgues, a little village in the South of France and arrived in Switzerland in 2023. Benefiting from a bilingual upbringing, she obtained her French Baccalauréat in 2013 and was awarded the Bachelor of Arts in Primary Education with First Class Honours, in London a few years later. After working as a French Primary School teacher, she moved back to the South of France to work as a Secondary English Teacher. Jessie came to Verbier in July 2023 to work for the Verbier Language School and is now part of the French Teachers’ team at VIS. Her teaching is based on learning a language in a contextualised environment where her students can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. Jessie believes in the importance of understanding the needs and differences of her students, to allow them to fully express themselves and to make the content relevant to their lives and interests.

Jessie has a French Tennis Coaching Diploma and used to play for national teams. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, hiking and playing all sorts of racket sports.
