The recognition that students develop outside the classroom is fundamental to the VIS philosophy. Skills, aptitudes and attitudes are developed through the classroom and also the After Schools Activity (ASA) programme. ASAs occur after school and a broad range of extra-curricular academic content such as ICT club, Science / Art, debating or environment awareness through the Ecoschools project.

Sports
Sports such as swimming are offered as part of the curriculum through PE, while skiing and other sports are available through the (ASA) programme.
International engagement
As an international school we actively seek out opportunities for our students to develop a global perspective and interact with the broad, multinational environment where we are located. Whilst we stay connected to the local community, we also look to venture beyond Verbier to benefit from Switzerland’s natural beauty and take advantage of the central location of Switzerland in Europe to explore further afield. VIS students are brought up together as global citizens.
How to apply
We develop partnership and trust to prepare prospective families for life in Verbier for both day students and boarders.
