Amelia Sharratt BA (Hons)
Trainee Teacher
Amelia was born and raised in Derbyshire, England. After finishing her A Levels, she worked on the reception and main office of a UK secondary school before deciding to go to university. Whilst studying for her BA (Hons) degree in English Literature and Language, Amelia spent her summers as a climbing instructor in the US and in Canada and as an Au Pair in Spain (2017). After graduating, Amelia moved to Verbier with her partner during the winter season of 2018, and worked as a camp counsellor. Since then, Amelia has worked in Verbier as an English language teacher, a tutor and a Nanny, worked in Egypt for a summer as a camp leader and spent a month volunteering at a children’s home in Nepal before joining VIS as a Winter teaching assistant. Amelia completed her IPGCE and NQT year in 2024. Amelia is a qualified TEFL teacher.
In her spare time, Amelia likes to travel, read, hike and just generally enjoy the mountains with friends and partner.
