Caitlin Miller
Preschool Teacher
Caitlin is from Edinburgh, Scotland. She has worked closely with young children since leaving school at 18 years old. She initially volunteered at a creche in Edinburgh, before gaining experience through an apprenticeship in a nursery and with a Preschool. She realised that she loved working with young children and began to study courses on early childhood development and early years education. Caitlin is a Canadian and British qualified Ski Instructor who started teaching skiing in Canada in 2012. Her passion is teaching children 5 years and under. Caitlin moved to Verbier in 2015 where she continued working as a ski instructor, and managing a summer camp for 3-5 year olds. A qualified TEFL teacher, she is fascinated by the way children learn, especially the relationship between learning and brain development. In September 2021, Caitlin joined VIS as a Preschool teacher, where she is applying her studies to her class every day. Caitlin is now studying for her level 3 Forest School qualification.
In winter, if she’s not at School, you’ll find Caitlin skiing (mostly in Bruson, her favourite area); and in summer, exploring the lakes on her paddleboard or coaching rugby for RC Bagnes Juniors.
