Guaya was born in Sweden but grew up in Gran Canaria. She studied at the University of Gothenburg, graduating with Distinction in the Teacher Training Programme specialising in Mathematics and Spanish. Subsequently, she worked in Ale Gymnasium where she had previously done her fieldwork placement and in Brunnsboskolan Secondary School. After 7 years in Sweden, she moved and lived for several years in London where she opened a Spanish Academy. During this time she also worked at Stanley Primary school and was hired as a maths tutor to a family based in London who she travelled around the world with and discovered Verbier. She started to work at VIS in 2020.

She loves to dance, climb, hike and share her hobbies with others.
