Secondary School Teacher of Geography / English as a Second Language

Jessica grew up on a farm in rural Ontario, Canada. She obtained a BA (Hons) with a Major in English Literature and a Minor in Human Geography from McMaster University. She then completed her BEd at the University of Western, Ontario. Throughout her educational career, she has taught in five different countries at highly respected, top-tier international schools. Her teaching background (grades 7 -12 and most recently years 3 – 4) has allowed her to teach a variety of curricula, including: UK Secondary Key Stage 3 & 4, IB MYP, IB DP, US Common Core, Aero, and C3 Framework. She has held key leadership positions in her previous schools as Head of Department of Middle School Social Studies, Senior Head of House in the Pastoral Care System, and Senior Girls Boarding House Supervisor. Jessica joined VIS in January 2021.

In her spare time, Jessica loves to snowboard, ski tour, scuba dive, hike, and travel.
