Julia Pickard BA (Hons) Primary Education with QTS
Head of Primary School and Primary School Teacher / Special Needs Teacher
Julia was born in Yorkshire, UK but has lived and worked in Switzerland since 2007. She graduated with a BA (Hons) in Primary Education and History. Before University, Julia qualified as a CELTA and TEFL teacher so that she could teach English to children in Nepal, as well as training to be a Ski Instructor and Adaptive Ski instructor in Canada. She has completed various Special Needs Education Diplomas in Dyslexia and is currently studying to complete a Masters in Special Needs Education. She has worked in both state and independent schools in the UK before moving to St. Georges in Montreux where she worked until joining VLS and VIS in 2016. She specifically loves teaching Drama after studying and achieving her LAMDA qualification at school and is a Level 2 Hockey and Netball coach.
In her spare time, Julia loves to travel around the world, to ski, read and watch her favourite team, the Leeds Rhinos.
