Laetitia Brighton MAFLE

Primary and Secondary French Teacher

Laetitia (Leti) was born and raised in Alsace, France. After passing her French Baccalaureate she spent a year in New York, then studied English and Spanish at Aix-en-Provence University, where she obtained a degree in Linguistics and a Master in FLE (Français Langue Etrangère). She subsequently volunteered at UWC Pearson in Victoria BC Canada for a year, followed by 3 years teaching French and ESL at UIS in Guangzhou, China. She moved to England to complete her PGCE and MEd at Cambridge, and taught French and Spanish at Uppingham School for 3 years, before going overseas again to teach at Ho Chi Minh International School, Vietnam. She returned to teach languages at Oundle School, where she worked for 14 years. She taught French, and was Head of Girls’ Games and Head of Cross Country Running. Besides that, her involvements whilst at Oundle School included being a boarding house tutor, supervising EPQ projects, supporting the Duke of Edinburgh programme, developing horse riding, examining DELF assessments and coaching hockey and athletics. 

In her free time she enjoys running and horse riding. She is looking forward to improving her skiing skills and building up to long distance trail running. She might even attempt some hills on her road bike.
