Rachel was born in York but has lived in Switzerland since 2004. Before moving to Switzerland she lived in Waterloo, Belgium for 4 years. She has been educated in international schools for the majority of her schooling. She graduated from Lancaster University with a BA (Hons) in Geography and French Studies. She completed an International Postgraduate Teaching degree at the International School of Geneva and Durham University. Prior to working at VIS, Rachel taught at St. George’s International School in Montreux. Rachel joined the VIS team as a Winter teacher in 2021, has applied her skills not just to teaching but working in Admissions and Administration. She now works as a Teacher of Class B.

In her spare time, Rachel loves to ski, bake and paddle board.
