Gérard Follonier brings more than 25 years of diverse commercial, administrative, and accounting experience to Verbier International School. Having held senior leadership positions within financial and administrative departments, as well as in fiduciary firms, he has built a strong reputation for rigorous management, corporate governance, and dedicated human and organizational support.
Deeply rooted in the Valais economic landscape, Gérard leads financial and HR operations by combining sharp technical and strategic insight with the confidentiality, pragmatism, and approachability expected within Swiss institutions. He draws upon a solid educational background and extensive hands-on experience in operational and business management.
A passionate advocate for a balanced, human-centered approach, Gérard believes that administrative and financial leadership goes far beyond aligning numbers and processes. It is a vital asset for ensuring long-term sustainability, strategic clarity, and team cohesion. He is proud to bring his expertise and vision to the VIS community.
Outside of work, Gérard enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. Deeply attached to his Alpine roots, he can often be found exploring nature and enjoying various mountain sports in the region.
