Finding Your Sound
Music gives students another language through which to express themselves, build confidence, and connect with others.
Music forms part of the curriculum at VIS, while students who wish to take their interests further can choose an instrument and participate in individual music lessons after school.
Performance is an important part of the experience. Students have opportunities throughout the year to perform for the school community, including concerts held each term, giving musicians of different ages and abilities the confidence to share what they have learned.
Our location also provides access to an extraordinary musical environment. VIS has developed a partnership with the Verbier Festival, one of the world’s renowned classical music festivals, which has brought internationally celebrated musicians to Verbier for more than three decades.
Being surrounded by a community where world-class music and education come together gives our students a unique opportunity to experience the arts beyond the school walls.
