Winter Camps

Dream about the experience

Welcome!

Verbier Camps

An unforgettable winter adventure for children aged 7-17 in one of the world’s most renowned ski destinations. With access to more than 400 km of slopes across the 4 Vallées ski area, campers enjoy one of the most extensive and exciting ski domains in Europe while learning from qualified Swiss instructors in a safe and structured environment

At VIS Winter Camp, days are spent exploring the spectacular slopes of Verbier alongside professional instructors from the École Suisse de Ski (ESS) Verbier, while evenings are dedicated to fun social activities, and memorable Swiss experiences.

Whether your child is stepping onto skis for the first time or is already exploring advanced terrain, our instructors ensure that every camper feels supported, challenged, and motivated throughout the week. Our goal is not only to improve technical skills, but also to build confidence, independence, resilience, and a lifelong love of snow sports.

Skiing & Snowboarding

Finding the right group: Before camp begins, families provide details about their child’s previous skiing or snowboarding experience. Campers are then placed into groups according to their current ability level, allowing them to learn alongside others of a similar standard and progress at a pace that suits them

Ski and snowboard levels:

Beginner/ New to the sport

This level is suitable for campers who have never skied or snowboarded before, or who are still developing the fundamental skills needed to ski independently.

Beginner / Intermediate

Campers at this level already have a basic understanding of skiing or snowboarding and are comfortable on gentle slopes. They can stop, turn, and control their speed independently, and are beginning to link their turns with greater confidence.

Intermediate

Intermediate skiers and snowboarders are confident on blue slopes and have started exploring easier red runs. At this stage, the focus shifts towards refining technique, improving control and developing a more dynamic style. Campers gain confidence on steeper terrain, learn how to adapt to different snow conditions, and begin exploring more advanced aspects of the sport

Intermediate / Advanced

This group is suitable for strong and confident skiers and snowboarders who are comfortable on red slopes and are ready to take their skills to the next level. Depending on snow conditions and group ability, they may also be introduced to more challenging terrain and mountain experiences under the supervision of qualified instructors

Advanced

Advanced campers are experienced skiers and snowboarders who can confidently tackle a wide variety of terrain and snow conditions. Whether exploring challenging runs, refining carving skills, experiencing freeride terrain, or progressing in freestyle features, campers will always benefit from expert coaching while continuing to prioritize safety, responsibility, and enjoyment on the mountain.

Before arriving at camp, families provide details about their child’s previous skiing or snowboarding experience. This allows our team and the instructors from ESS Verbier to place each camper in the most appropriate group. Groups remain flexible, and instructors continuously assess progress to ensure every child gets the most out of their time on the slopes.

Equipment and safety

Campers are welcome to bring their own equipment or rent everything they need through VIS Camps. Professional fitting sessions are organised on arrival in partnership with our local providers, ensuring every camper is comfortable, properly equipped, and ready for a successful week on the mountain.

Safety is our highest priority. All skiing and snowboarding activities are supervised by qualified instructors from the Swiss Ski School of Verbier (ESS), and campers are equipped with appropriate safety gear throughout the programme. Additional equipment, including back protectors and winter clothing, can also be arranged before arrival

Understand the programme

A typical day at VIS Winter Camp combines expert ski instruction, time to relax and recharge, and exciting evening activities shared with friends from around the world.

The mornings and afternoons are spent on the slopes of Verbier, developing skiing and snowboarding skills while making the most of one of Europe’s most prestigious mountain destinations. After returning from the mountains, campers have time to relax, shower, contact their families, and enjoy the company of friends before gathering together for dinner and evening activities.

Throughout the session, campers also take part in a special cultural excursion, allowing them to discover another side of Switzerland beyond the mountains and experience the country’s rich heritage.

Where they stay

Our son returned from VIS Camp with so much more confidence and independence. From the ski lessons to the evening activities, every part of the programme was exceptionally well organized.

Sarah, Parent

The combination of skiing and outstanding pastoral care makes VIS Camps truly unique. Our daughter made friends from several countries and is already asking to return next winter.

The staff genuinely knew our child. It felt like a family, not just a camp.
