A Small School with a Global Community
Verbier International School is home to approximately 200 students representing more than 50 nationalities, creating a remarkably international community within a deliberately small school.
Around 45 students call our boarding chalets home, while the majority of our students live with their families in Verbier and the surrounding region. This balance creates something special: our boarders become part of life in Verbier, while our day families bring the wider Verbier community into the life of the school.
In many ways, VIS reflects the village we call home. Verbier is international, entrepreneurial, active, ambitious, and welcoming, attracting people from around the world who share a love of the mountains and an adventurous outlook on life. These same qualities can be felt throughout our school.
Our size means that students of different ages and nationalities know one another, teachers know their students personally, and families quickly become familiar faces. With Primary and Secondary students sharing one campus, younger students have role models to look up to while older students develop a natural sense of leadership and responsibility.
