A Community to Belong To
Our boarding houses are designed to provide the warmth and familiarity of home alongside the structure and support of school life.
VIS boarders live in two traditional Swiss chalet-style residences in Verbier. Both were formerly chalet hotels and have been transformed into comfortable boarding houses with ensuite bedrooms, shared social spaces, kitchens, and facilities designed around student life.
The relatively small size of our boarding community allows us to create a genuinely personal experience. With approximately 45 boarders and six residential staff, students are well known by the adults caring for them and receive a high level of pastoral support.
Boarding life is built around community. Students eat together, spend time together in shared spaces, participate in activities, and contribute to the everyday running of their home. At the same time, they are encouraged to develop independence and take responsibility for their routines, belongings, studies, and wellbeing.
Our boarding team is always available to students, including overnight, providing reassurance for both students and their families.
Our aim is simple: for every student to feel safe, supported, known, and genuinely at home in Verbier.
