Nicu brings over a decade of experience in Switzerland’s premium international education sector, with a career spanning admissions, marketing, communications, partnerships, boarding, camps, and student engagement.
Born in Moldova, he moved to Switzerland in 2016, where he has since built his career in international education. His own educational journey was shaped by boarding school and later by a high school exchange year in the United States, experiences that gave him an early understanding of the opportunities, challenges, and personal growth that come with studying away from home. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, specialising in Marketing and Logistics.
Beyond his work in Swiss education, Nicu has organised and led educational camps in Moldova and Ukraine. He is also the co-founder of Game On – Education, a non-profit organisation in Moldova that creates leadership, learning, and community opportunities for young people through camps and social projects. He continues to lead the organisation’s annual summer camp each August.
Nicu joined the leadership team at Verbier International School at a defining moment in the school’s development, with a strong desire to help shape and build its future. He is committed to strengthening the foundations of VIS, growing its international community, expanding the opportunities available to its students, and building a school known not only for its educational quality, but also for the care, trust, and sense of belonging it offers every student and family.
